This tree was shining at me after a relaxing hike around the Lago di Braies in the Dolomites, Italy. The lake is very beautiful but also very crowded - even when you are early.
At BBG, red 'Shimanishiki' in the Tree Peony Collection.
This cultivar's bright red, medium size flowers are similar to the 'Tail' variety, but with irregular white stripping on the petals. No two flowers have exactly the same pattern.
The Tree Peony Collection at Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is a rare planting of more than 300 specimens that were printed as a gift from the Japanese city of Yatsura-Cho in the fall of 2002, as a memorial to the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Consisting of 49 different varieties of Japan tree peony, the collection highlights 6 different colors, and each variety was grown by a small family nursery on the island of Daikon-Shima in Shimane Prefecture.

A Tree Swallow, Tachycineta bicolor, perched near a lake a few minutes from my home. I recently helped place four new nest boxes at the lake that should be home to Eastern Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, and Carolina Chickadees in the coming years.
Lake Shenandoah, Rockingham County, Virginia. May 14, 2020.
The Tree Hydrangea in my yard is starting to bloom for the season. I bought it many years ago (pre-internet, via mail-order) as a foot long bareroot tree and now it's over 10 feet high. It's my favorite tree out there. It's also the only tree out there. lol. :-)

Mitzieher-Bild.
Das Bild hatte ich vor Jahren schon einmal eingestellt. Und als es in den Explore kam, hatte ich es aus Versehen gelöscht. So ist das Leben. ;)
Here I am. I thought I will never be back. But I can't leave you forever.
Forgive me for my absence. I was not myself until now.
I wish you will like this first release for the year 2008.

Richmond Park has a wonderful collection of gnarly trees with anthropomophic features. The features are not quite so well defined in this, but it makes up for it by its scale and he has a lovely white beard. A tree with a beard, Treebeard?
